First, the preparation stage:

Gloves are a must, after all, we don't want our fingers to get green from the green dye of the moss.

Picking out the moss:
Go and pick up some preserved mosses, usually they come in a box about 60 cm square.
Don't hesitate to pick more than one kind, such as spherical moss and flat moss, so that your work will be more layered.

 

Design your moss layout:
Spread out your moss on your workbench and try different layouts until you find your favorite design.
For example, you could try a vertical layout with the long side facing up, or fill in the gaps with different types of moss to create a natural and random effect.

 

Trim and adjust:
Use scissors to trim the mosses so they fit flat.
Flat moss can be laid out like a carpet to ensure there are no gaps and it looks neat and attractive.

 

Secure the moss:
You can choose to secure the fake moss with a strong adhesive or a hot melt glue gun.
Start at the edges and secure the moss with a little bit of hot melt glue to make sure they are flat and tight against the substrate.

 

Add details:
Use small tools, such as gardening shears, to add details such as lichen.
Use lichen to fill in the gaps and give your moss picture frame a more layered and natural look.

 

Clean up the workbench:
Don't forget to clean up your workbench to make sure all the excess moss and glue is removed.

 

Make the frame:
Make your own or buy a suitable frame according to the size of your design.
Place the fixed moss substrate into the frame and adjust it until the edges are neat.

 

Mounting the wall:
