Origins
The early development of synthetic turf dates back to the 1960s, when ChemGrass (later known as Astroturf®), developed by Monsanto, was installed at Houston's Astrodome. First Generation of Artificial Turf (1960s - 1970s)

Second Generation of Artificial Turf (1980s - 1990s)
