When you purchase synthetic turf, laying it flat minimizes the pressure on the turf and prevents the bottom fibers from irreversibly deforming due to prolonged pressure. When turf rolls are subjected to excessive pressure, the bottom fibers may become flattened, compromising the final lay.

Indoor Storage
Although fake lawn is designed to withstand a variety of harsh weather conditions such as heat, drought, sun, rain and snow, it is recommended that it be stored in an indoor environment in order to ensure its optimal condition. Avoid exposing your turf to extreme heat or cold, as these conditions may cause the turf material to deteriorate or warp. Choosing a cool, dry room as a storage location can effectively extend the life of your turf.

Safety First
Ideally, the storage location should be on a flat, firm surface to prevent turf rolls from rolling or sliding off. In addition, make sure the area is away from frequent foot and vehicle traffic to avoid turf being unintentionally stepped on or bumped. Storage locations should ideally be enclosed fenced spaces to keep animals out.

Maintenance advice
Turf may accumulate dust, sand and other impurities during storage, so each roll of artificial grass should be carefully inspected before laying to remove any foreign matter that may affect aesthetics or function. Use a soft-bristled brush or hair dryer to gently remove surface dirt to ensure the turf is clean and tidy.

There are some common problems that may be encountered when storing faux grass, such as mold and fungal growth. Although most artificial turf has been specially treated to be mildew resistant, mildew may still grow in a humid environment. To prevent mold growth, make sure the storage environment is dry and ventilated to avoid moisture buildup. If you notice signs of mold on your turf, you can gently wipe the affected area with a diluted solution of bleach, vinegar or hydrogen peroxide - these natural disinfectants are effective in killing mold spores and restoring the turf's cleanliness.

Another issue to be aware of is the impact of pets on turf. Pet feces can not only contaminate the surface of your artificial grass roll, but can also cause color changes or odors. For homes with a large number of pets, it is recommended that the turf be given a special cleaning treatment prior to installation, using a special cleaner to thoroughly wash the surface and remove any contaminants that may remain.
